Michael J. Harrison, DDS

Michael Harrison, DDS, is a third generation dentist who continued his training to become an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. Dr. Harrison was born and raised outside of Minneapolis, Minnesota, along with his three brothers. He completed his undergraduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis where he majored in both Biology and Spanish. He jumped on the opportunity to combine his love of the Spanish language and a generational family tradition of serving patients through dentistry by obtaining a dental degree from Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, NE, where he graduated magna cum laude.

He cemented his pursuit of a career in oral surgery by accepting a four-year hospital oral and maxillofacial surgery residency position at Loyola University Medical Center and Hines VA Hospital in Chicago, IL. While in Chicago, his training focused on dentoalveolar surgery, dental implants, anesthesia, facial trauma, orthognathic surgery, and benign pathology.

Dr. Harrison joined Kalamazoo Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in July of 2022. His wife’s family has strong ties to Southwest Michigan, and Kalamazoo was their first choice of communities to join and serve.

When not in the office, Dr. Harrison enjoys spending time outdoors, archery hunting, hockey, and golf. He was fortunate to meet his wife, Clare, while both attended Creighton University School of Dentistry. They are excited to call Michigan home and serve the community through dentistry and oral surgery.
